Rosewood Will (Dick Roper) I.S.D.S. No: 00/316743
Will works 2000 ewes daily for Dick Roper, International Champion and full time shepherd.
This dogs work on vast numbers speaks for itself,
and he has also won open trials to boot.
his first pups are showing great promise to follow the footsteps of his sire SPOT,
grandsire TOM and great grandsire SWEEP and Great great grandsire CAP
all of whom won major trials and qualified for the English Team.
With breeding like this coupled to Becky's linage we expect some strong working and trials dogs.
CEA carrier by DNA test -
it is highly unusual for any other DNA testing to be done within the ISDS membership.
Unfortunately too, It is not yet standard practise for owners of ISDS registered dogs to Hip Score,
since the incedence of the disease is very low in the working bred dog
few owners are willing to subject their valuable working dogs to sedation to get the xray needed.
But to ensure we get the absolute best working bloodlines and keep our lines as diverse as possible
we still need to use these very special dogs regardless of their health testing status.
We will still guarantee these puppis for Hip Dysplasia, as per our puppy guarantee.
Becky is quite a serious individual always looking for the Cat or sheep to watch, But yet happy to relax when they are not around.
She is easy handle and polite in all situations, a lovely balanced character
Good with all people.
Becky has enourmous potential as a sheepdog being very natural with good pace and balance. Despite her eye on the cats, she does not exhibit too much eye on sheep, being easy to flank and move about whilst still quite stylish.
She has very close bloodline links n the first three generations to World Sheepdog Champions Aled Owen's BOB and James McGee's BECCA
to purchase a puppy from this litter or to ask about any other puppies.
Preference will ALWAYS be given (where choice is available) to potential WORKING homes (herding or competition performance sports).
It is human nature to select a puppy on looks alone.
BUT it is through our considerable experience that we advise you to take into account the puppies character in the selection process;
because selecting the wrong character is much harder to live with than the wrong white markings, coat colour or coat length.
Just because a puppy is not marked as Sold does not mean that it is still available. Puppies are marked SOLD on the website once the choice has been agreed with the new owners according to the character of the puppies (and not by their Colour or Coat) and a deposit has been received. This is usually done at 7 to 8 weeks of age.
BECAUSE
Firstly, I as breeder may want to keep one of the puppies and as I want to work them on sheep, I will select my puppy not on the looks but on its character and how it learns and
reacts to certain situations and tests I may carry out.
Through vast experience I have found great success in choosing pups through this procedure so
we now like to place pups to the right home by Character we ask you give us your choice of three puppies in order of preference.
This is essential as we may well have several requests for the same puppy and we, of course, cannot dissect the puppy.
Your choices will always be considered and mutually agreed upon before the final choice is made.
Character develops from five weeks of age and I will be looking closely at the pups to establish which in my opinion will make the best possible dog for your requirements, and by 7 weeks of age I will have a fair idea of each pup' s character.
Therefore we make final selection between 7 to 8 weeks of age.
Regular photo updates (we try to do this once every week to ten days) and also try to include some regular video. Video's are ALWAYS placed onto my YOUTUBE page before being placed onto the website, please subscribe to YOUTUBE and make sure your settings allow for all video updated to be emailed to you. (check your spam email folder too)
If you want a choice of puppies at 7 - 8 weeks od age you will need to place a deposit as soon as possible once I have agreed that you may purchase one of my special puppies.
I reserve the right to refuse to sell you a puppy if, I do not think you will give them a suibable home.
I may also want you to supply references from your vet, dog training clubs etc. to help me decide on your suitability
Please read our page Book A Puppy NOW ! to see how our application process is done.
