FLINT is an outstandingly natural dog on the sheep, he has power and presence,
when he settles he is stunningly stylish..
Sheep respect him.
Unfortuately, he was farm trained and has some bad habits which would cause issues at trials as he cuts corners on his flanks.
however, he works daily on the seashore of the Orkney Islands and is clever at
removing sheep from the cliff faces.
His sire MICA also works the same difficult ground.
He is a joy to have in the kennels, but he normally lives in the house
with tiny children whom he adores.
Flint belongs to Laura French and he was loaned to us
for a short time to mate to selct bitches, he has since returned to Orkney Island.

Briar is by Hybeck Blake who is DNA tested normal for all the main border collie Disease and Hip Scored with good hips.
Blake needs no introduction, he is a trials winner and sire to many trials winners.
Briar's mother is also a trials winner and we hope one day she will be too.
Briar came to us as a non worker, but she has switched on and was almost ready for real training when we mated her to Flint.
We expect her to be easy to train as she is very biddable and willing to please, she is stylish and willing to tackle a sheep head on.
We hope to bring out her best once she has weaned her pups.

Preference will ALWAYS be given (where choice is available) to potential WORKING homes (herding or competition performance sports).
It is human nature to select on looks alone.
BUT it is through our considerable experience that we advise you to take into account the puppies character in the selection process;
because selecting the wrong character is much harder to live with than the wrong white markings,coat colour or coat length.
As we like to place pups to the right home by Character we ask you give us your choice of three puppies in order of preference.
This is essential as we may well have several requests for the same puppy and we, of course, cannot dissect the puppy.
Your choices will always be considered and mutually agreed upon before final choice is made.
Character develops from five weeks of age and I will be looking closely at the pups to establish which in my opinion will make the best possible dog for your requirements,
I will tell you the character of each pup as it develops.
Puppies are marked SOLD on the website once the choice has been agreed with the new owners and a deposit has been received.
Regular photo updates (we try to do this once every week to ten days) and also try to include some video.
