Astra Tay as a companion/pet

Tay is a son of my famous Astra Tweed himself a son of my famous foundation bitch Eryri Nan.

TAY has an "off Switch" just like his father, he is a pleasure to have around though he is not a house dog he is our top dog in the kennels, organising his girls and teaching the young males how to behave in the groups.

As a working dog Tay surpases his father Astra Tweed,  he is more biddable and easier to handle though he is certainly as powerful and confident in his abilty to move stock.

Tay's training has been stop and start due to my leg injury in Jan 2008, the last two years he has been trained under my direction by working students who have proved their ability to handle a sensitive but very strong dog.

I have recently Autumn 2010 taken over the training of Tay again and will soon be using him for our flock work and hope to one day (time permiting) get him out in public at sheepdog trials.
