ROSA as a companion/pet
Rosa was born prior to me breaking my leg and had minimal contact with educated humans during the formative months (3 to 8 mths old) of her life, therefore she interacts better with dogs than humans which she tends to ignore. She is crazy about cats, if she spots or sees one she gets well excited blocking everything else out. |
ROSA as a working dog
On sheep, Rosa was at first very natural and easy, but with more exposure, with an inexperienced and it turned out, nervous handler she herself became insecure; developing a grip and uncontrolable excitement during which nothing would get through and if too much presure was applied she went into a sulk when she realised she was unable to do her own thing.
(Rosa has recently undergone many months of rehabilitation during which her confidence is being built up, we shall very soon start to retrain her on sheep.)
